I doubt you'll be able to play AC2 on a laptop unless you paid like 3 grand for it. You need 700mhz and 256 ram minimum just to get it to run.
I have to play on low settings with P3 1ghz 512 ram and a 32mb geforce 2

but I worked for Best Buy in Jan/Feb/March/April, and I rememebr the best laptop on our floor was the mP4, Followed by the mXP. The GHZ ranged from 1.0 to 2.0, but all of the laptops, from 900 bucks to 2,500 bucks, were equiped with 16 meg video cards. You could order custom laptops from us, and once some people ordered 32 meg cards in thier laptops, and the rest was really mediocer, with like 1.3 Athlon mXP and such. The 32 meg card in those laptops were 600 dollars alone.

You may correct me if I am wrong, but I am willing to bet that you would need at least a 64 DDR in your system for SB to run well, same with AC2.

It is so shitty it wouldn't even be worth the money to upgrade. You can't even pump a fast screensaver through an LCD screen let alone game on it. You can upgrade the ram though, I have no idea about video cards though. As far as I know you can upgrade network cards, ram, and hard drives on notebooks so you might be able to access the video card somehow. I don't even own a laptop though, so I wouldn't know where to begin. If you want you could refer to your laptop's documents and call tech support, you might and I stress might be able to send it back to the manufacturer and have them upgrade it for you. That's all I know. And remember that laptops, save Alienware and some others, aren't made for gaming.

EDIT- Ok I found an article talking about this. It says going for a video card or cpu upgrade on a laptop isn't worth it. Every part of a laptop is put together like a jigsaw puzzle, and every piece is put in a certain spot so as not to get overheated. Basically, it is near impossible to even access that area of your laptop, let alone find the right piece. And nobody makes cpus or video cards for laptop upgrades. In fact it says 90% of manufacturers won't even upgrade such parts for you because even they can fuck something up when trying. Don't even try it.

....not upgradable. Video is usually built onboard.

I dont have my computer with me since I moved and it's a good lap top, 512 ram and 1.7 gig but it;'s apparently not good enough to run the game.

[color:blue]CH[color:yellow]ARGE[color:blue]RS > [color:purple]faiders
