A lot of people are doing atkins, I did the Atkin's and in two months I lost around 55 lbs, but the only drawback about the diet is that you have absolutely no energy left.
There is also the excercise factor, along with dieting. One thing I try to avoid is surgar loaded sodas. If you are not in shape, then slowly get yourself there taking one step at a time.
The key to losing fatigue is to challenge yourself physcially. Build up a good sweat, eat less.
The hard part about dieting is the eating less factor. There is all kinds of good foods out there, which is hard to resist. Fast foods like Mc Donalds are primarily responsible for their contribution to poor health here in the U.S. which is why 1 out of 5 persons here in the U.S. is considered overweight.
Processed foods are cheaper, and easily mass produced without much effort. Like Corn. These foods are cheaper, and their nutrients are lost during the many production phases of the product, during processing and such.
Here the dipshits who study unhealthy eating habbits feel we should eat more grains. Well, what the fuck do we feed cattle for them to gain weight?
If you REALLY want to lose weight, then I suggest you start by lowering your food intake. Do not STARVE yourself, not only do you lose your fat that way, but you also lose muscle.
Stay away from fast foods, and foods and drinks high in sugars, take energy supplements, stay active.
If this doesn't work, than I suggest that you live the low carb life style. I personally guarentee instant weight loss within 1 week if you follow the Atkin's diet.
I've been telling fatties on this board since 1999 about the Atkin's diet. Don't let the ignorance about fats and proteins keep you away from this diet. You can eat as much fat as your body can handle, eggs, cheese, mayonaise, meat of any kind. Just remember, you get your body to adapt to this lifestyle of eating as much as you want.
So when you get off this diet, try your hardest to eat less, because you will want to eat like you were used to when you were on the Atkin's diet.
The reason why I suggest diet and excercise before the Atkin's diet is because I'm giving you the oppurtunity to turn that fat into muscle filling what used to be fat cells.
Other diets that work very well are high fiber diets. Eating a lot of fiber in your diet, can cause you to lose a lot of weight, but be willing to adjust your diet to veggies and certain whole grains, like wheat.
If all else fails, go for Atkin's, and remember to replace your needed vitamin intake by taking one-a-day carb smart, Which has Biotin which also helps beak down the fats and the proteins which your body is using to obtain the energy you need for the diet.
Stay away from dietary pills and subcriptions, doing so will reduce possible risks of free-radicals, and other cancer inducing elements found in chemically(Synthetically) manufactured diet products.
Especially steroids which will increase testosterone levels to dangerous levels which will shrink your genitelia, and cause mass depression.
Two things that are not worth using anabolic steroids for.
The reason why I know all of this information is because my mom is a dietician, as well as an esthetician, and she's currently in study to become a clinical/medical dermetologist.
