Lords of Death Forums Lords of Death Forums LoD General Discussion XP pro and 2000 pro conflict. help pls.

I was messing around with my computer and I installed Windows 2k Pro on the non-system partition of my HD. Now when my computer boots up it gives me the normal two different versions of windows i can log onto: XP pro and 2k Pro but when i select XP pro it loads up like it think it is 2k and says its missing a file and to do a repair with the windows 2k disc. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you installed both OS's to the same directory.

I installed it on two different HDs. I think it has something to do with boot information and where XP is looking to boot from.

When using XP and 2000 you need a generic bootloader, Lilo, system commander something, The multiboot system wasn't intnded for XP/2000 never see anything but trouble with this, no matter which one you install first one will always fuck up.
