i dont know exact temperature but the case and inside the case aren't very hot. the random reboot usually occurs immediately after i boot up, temperature of the cpu shouldn't be a problem then, correct? i think torak may be correct in that it has something to do with the power supply or surge protector

its summer time.... i get that in the evening unfortunately.... the computer side of the house the sun sets right fucking at the windows causing my system to Overdose

If the reboot is occuirng when opening firefox, it is probably either firefox or your internet connection causing the crash. Try using IE. Try reinstalling Firefox. Try updating your network card/modem drivers. Make sure you have the latest Windows system updates.

Stop = 0x0000007E (plus some other random strings)
ACPI.sys was the only file referrenced in the error..
Updating firefox did not stop the error (have received it once since then), updated video drivers and have yet to receive the error, so my fingers are crossed. ACPI.sys when searched on google almost always refers to the video card drivers if the error is on boot.

happened to me, until one day my computer just kept rebooting and not ever giving me the chance to log onto windows xp. it was because of my modem (its like webstar 2000somethin cable modem) anyway i had to do this patch thing for it and a buncha shit...of course that was after i had to reinstall windows because of the fuckup it gave me.
