First of all...sea kittens taste great no matter how you dress em up. I really hate the tactics of PETA. Judging by this website they spammed some guys inbox over 3,000 times about how fish have "nervous systems that comprehend and respond to pain". No shit...PETA is the captain of captain obviousness. I do believe that there is no point in hunting unless you eat what you kill, and that fishing in catch and release is a waste of time and money, but if someone ever runs up to me and says 'save the sea kittens' I am hitting them in the throat.
Edit: Just saw some 'undercover investigation on bowfishing' video on that site. Its fucking dumb as hell. Bowfishing is legal, and fun. Fucking hate PETA.

i respect kittens more than fish... kittens are cute and fun while they're young, but grow up to be a cat (which are only good for punting, making a room stink of cat piss & shit because of their liter box, and punting again... fish are cool to display in your house no matter what age, and when they get older, they only get more plump for you to eat...
if i had it my way the sport would be fishing for kittens/cats and we'd be giving the fish more respect...

I understand PeTA's war cry, and I support the changes they've made within farming. Hell, I only buy organic cage free chicken etc (how can you argue about people fighting for healthier meats??), but the point is that for society or rules to change, you need someone with extreme ideas/tactics etc. PeTA fulfills that role just like MLK did for blacks, hippies did for peace/free love etc.
So while PETA may have some unorthodox ways of dealing with situations, in the end the well-being of animals should be taken into account and considered, even if used for food. It's honestly a no brainer.
