anyone ever tried "The Smart Cover"?

it's basically a case with a solar panel built in.

No luck finding anything review-wise on google.

it seems like a decent idea but you could probably buy a solar unit w/ a DC hookup and it might be safer...

Approx. 110 dollars for Solar Panel w/ DC hookup. Not iPhone proprietary, so can be used for other items too.

Also, the ghetto addition of the "R" on the youtube video on that site suggests... well... ghetto.

I have to agree. It would be better to have a universal DC adapter anyways.

i would agree except for the additional battery within the unit.


That and the usb port on it.

I wonder how long it takes to charge and if you can charge the thing without using the solar panel.
