Anyone playing this new PC RPG game called Risen?

I just started playing it a couple days ago and it is fantastic. It IS Gothic 2, just with a different character and storyline. Oh and better graphics. Having such a good time playing it!

The reviews say the PC version is actually pretty good and say these guys really cleaned up their act compared to the travesty that was Gothic 3. I'll try out the demo and see what's goin on with it, might end up buying it, so far reviewers say it's Hard which is my kind of game. Easy games aren't worth it at all.

lol same here..right now while my net is gay i've been playing bionic commando on 'commando' mode (hardest difficulty)... it's pretty gay to watch my roomates buddy come over once in a while playing on "normal" mode and get cought up in just a few days...where there's a lot of places i might have to do over and over (100+ times no joke) to figure out wtf i have to do before i get killed in 2-3 hits. rageworthy :/ but honestly i would be done w/ the game in a couple/few days if i was playing it on an easier difficulty and wouldn't have any fun w/ it..i'd rather rent a movie for less than 5 bucks than buy a game for 40 i'm done with in a few days. getting through some of the harder spots is much like the same feeling after taking a huge shit, or getting off of work (which i think is the same emotion).

i live for "hard" games. Doom 3 nightmare was actually decently hard since you got like a 15 hp limit, anything higher ticks back down to 15. Just sucks you had to beat a different diff first because they didnt change any monster spawn points at all.

I really want to see what happens with Dragon Age: Origins. Got to play with the devs awhile back and it was lookin pretty good, just hope they made it harder than the cheese i played a year ago.

lol i felt the same way about dead space with the spawn points after unlocking the hardest diff..bionic commando is pretty rough right now, one of the harder games i've played (as long as you start out playing on commando, and don't look up spoilers). lotta repeat mobs that're upgraded and have different gimmicks to kill them, but kill you in 2 hits...takes some endurance, gotta get to the shit you gotta kill using gimmicks first and possibly die right away..then get to them all over again until you beat that part. kinda like i wanna be the guy. i wish some of the tougher games offered "auto demo" making like doom used to.

heh, painkiller sounds like fun again, i might load it up for a quick killing spree. It's not that hard but it is lots of fun
