Problem is you simply cannot stop humans ability for 'crazy' ~ Trance the reason why the 'drug ban' is the same arguement is if you do a 'gun ban' or how about an 'alcohol ban' etc. how well does that work? Lets not be stupid T.. you were using 'banned' substances in high school & possibly middle school you are that retarded.. so go ahead & 'ban guns' but crazy will still get em while good, smart people that could stop crazy in its tracks will not be as equiped.
So if you cannot stop other humans from.. well being other humans.. I am for a different kind of "100% gun control policy" in which instead of regulating the thing we actually actively foster the process. Teach & provide every American the proper education that goes into fire arms & their use.. & while you are at it teach people how to drive. This is the same arguement as guns.
If everyone of those teachers on that campus that day was not only armed with their own NON AUTOMATIC FIRE ARM & 4 YEARS OF 'BASIC' G.I. (GOV. ISSUE) FIREARMS TRAINING.. Than that CRAZY MOTHER FUCKER that took out over 20 would have been done by the time he fired off his 2nd round. Thats a fact you couldnt despute with me.
Tell me with the billions spent on car accidents, insurance, etc. that if we put every kid of the next generation into 4~ years of extensive driving training before they are even allowed to hit the public roads it wouldnt have an effect on your bullshit statistics you like to use in arguements? $2donuts it would make a huge difference if everyone had a proper education on how to not drive like a fucking retard.

Are you insinuating that ALL people should be forced to attend a gun safety class whether or not they intend to buy a gun? It seems so by your vehicle safety analogy.
A safety class or education can resolve gun "accidents" but it cannot prevent psychopaths from mass murders. The "War on Drugs" is an utter failure, as would a "War on Guns" be.
This is rather a simple debate, this is not about hunting, self defense in your home, deterrence or the enjoyment of gun ownership. The Constitution is a document that gives us the ability to protect ourselves against our GOVERNMENT. If the government wants to ban guns they need to amend the 2nd amendment. Article V of the constitution is the vehicle to change our rights.
It is that simple. No law trumps the constitution as bad as our current and past legislative and executive branches have circumvented it, Republican and Democrat alike.
Until philosophers become politicians or politicians govern from philosophy humanity and governments will suffer under the compromise of political winds, advice of special interest and lobbyists.
