"Paypal sucks, online gaming merchants are at the highest risk for fraud right now, due to loopholes in the system."
I run several online gaming websites, mostly selling goods to other players, I have only been scammed once, and since then I've learned what to do:
1. On my "buy" buttons i clearly mark that the item is virtual.
I.E. "1 Million Credits: Star Wars Gallixies Online Virtual Game"
And seince then, when people try to use the paypal, Buyers Protection Policy, to try to commit fraud against against me, PayPal notices the "Virtual", they never win.
Also if they do a chargeback, PayPal will charge them again and again up to 6 times, if they keep doing charge backs, paypal quits. So far I haven't been scammed out of money, just 10 bucks the 1st time.
However I think he used the buyer Protection Policy against you, not a chargeback, chargebacks can also be delt with in small claims court, sence it's under $1000

"if you don't send a verifiable payment in this week or next
week youd better go into hiding, I'll track you down myself if i have to, and I'll first hopitalize you, and later just shoot you like a dog."
You do know that this is concidered an act of terrorism? Some bill that was passed after 9/11 claims it so. Some guy threatened to kill me because he lost some gold or something, so I just gave a CC of his email to my lawyer, I never had to go to court. I think it went down like this:
Lawyer gave to cops.
Cops gave to fbi
FBI Tracked guy down w/ IP from CC Email
Guy has 3 years of bench probation
Shit I wish I hadn't forgoten the name of the bill.....one of you guys prob knows what it is called.
Anyway seeyas.

It is a pending reversal for both parties. It wasn't a chargeback. Right now Paypal is holding the funds to determine the legitimacy of the issue.

If nothing is done to this asshole, the 950 dollars lost will get compensated by the amount of bones I break in his body.
Believe me, if you think you will get away with taking 950 dollars from me, you're dead wrong. It costs a mere portion of that to get a two-way ticket to fly down to that mans trailer home in NC, and beat the living fuck out of him.
It would be worth it, and I could give a shit if they give me any years, I didn't commit murder, and I'd probably just end up getting a plea bargin with a reduced sentence for threatening him.
I would shoot someone without even thinking about it. I don't give a fuck. I put a guy in a hospital once, because he didn't pay up on a 200 dollar pool bet, they put me through anger management and everything it sucked, but it was worth it.

wow your mature, anyway you shouldn't have been stupid and should have put "virtual item" in the title, that way none of this would have happened, I hope you never get your money.

The CATAGORY itself is SELF-EXPLANITORY!
Both eBay and Paypal are aware that these items are virtual, it wouldn't matter if I labled it or not.
According to Paypal, in order to qualify for seller protection, I have to ship out an item. These fucking geniuses know these items are in-tangible, so they force us to go through all this hassle.
eBay being as automated as they are should warn us about these things before we put them up on eBay. I've never been warned, (After the shit hits the fan)Oh wait! hey Panemon you forgot to read line 132 on Page 587 on our terms of service agreement, where it says if an item is in-tangible you must ship something out to a destination address, so we can track it.
Right now, this Seller Protection scam is a loophole in the paypal billing cycle, and I just recently found out I am entitled to a class action lawsuit against Paypal.
Unfortunatly, I did everything I was supposed to do on eBay, and I did it by the book. I've never had an unsuccessfull non-tangible item sale. People are using this as a loophole to get away with shit, and a few law firms are going to press these issues on Paypal since Paypal told the person their money was there, like in my case.
Paypal took my money away, and they refuse to give it to me, since I didn't qualify for seller protection policy since the Item was unshippable. However Paypal knows the guy is a scammer, but they are protecting his legal information to keep me from persuing litigation.
Ultimately Paypal is responsible for me not receiving my valid funds, Paypal told me my money was there, they took it back, and now I am eligible for a class action lawsuit.
I fucking hate paypal, and I hope the next terrorist attack done in this country is done to them.

I was the recipiant of fradulent funds. Some guy hacked another guys eBay and paypal account, and bought my item with B.I.N.
Even if those funds made it to my bank account, it would be illegal to keep fradulent funds in my bank account, and I would be forced to pay paypal the negitive balance in the account.
It doesn't matter wether or not you state the item is Virtual, you can put the item in a specific catagory, and it will automatically be recognized as being "virtual."
Paypal knew on-the-bat that my item was virtual, they only disregarded it, because I didn't actually SHIP the items out.
"Dear XXX XXXXXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting PayPal. I am sorry to hear about this situation,
and understand your frustration and concern over the issue.
PayPal's Seller Protection Policy gives you the opportunity to protect
yourself from liability when you follow the Seller Protection guidelines to
reduce your risk of dealing with a fraudulent buyer. To review the specific
terms and conditions of the Seller Protection Policy click
https://www.paypal.com/sellerprotection or copy and paste the entire link
into the address bar.
PayPal's Seller Protection Policy is designed to reduce the risk of
reversals (a reversal, or chargeback, occurs when a buyer rejects or
reverses a charge on his or her credit card) for sellers who follow
specified risk reduction procedures. Please note compliance with the Seller
Protection Policy is voluntary. However, if a seller chooses to engage in
transactions not covered by the Seller Protection Policy, the seller
assumes the risk associated with the transaction, as well as any chargeback
liability.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.
Sincerely,
