Although not a huge fan of baseball like I was when i was younger, I still enjoy the good ol games. I know EA dominates with Soccer, Football, Basketball, and Hockey, but what about Baseball? I havent played a good baseball game in a while. I heard MVP2004 (EA) got a 9.1 rating over at gamespot. Thats pretty sweet. Anyone play it or have a recommendation?
I wanna get one soon, between my two stepbrothers and myself, we have Madden 04, Live 04, NHL 04, and NCAA 04. Gotta add to the collection of sweet ass EA Sports games.
Did I mention Street Vol 2 fucking owns?

And the friends I got the game for love it, so I think you're safe trying it out, EA is pretty damn good for sports, the one thing they can pride themselves on.

I've played EA sports games since nhl 93...love em, but I have never played the college games...do the college games have the actual player's names or just jersey numbers? like can I play as Emeka Okafor from Uconn or is he just number 50? reason I'm asking is because Madden and NBA Live have the option of tranferring graduating classes from the college games for the next season's rookies ...I'd like them to have the actual name and so on, not just a jersey number

In NCAA 04, from what I remember it was just the numbers. Didnt really check for options to get names or whatever, but im 90% sure they were only numbers, however I dont know if they transfer to names or not when you draft em in the pro game.
Maybe a roster update online would do that or whatever, but I dont play online..

All college games due to legal issues have to be sold with players only having #'s not names. You can download roster updates with up to date ncaa football rosters somewhere on the net.

But there was that one baseball game where you could beat up the baseman as you ran. Anybody remember that one?

or just shitty EA ones?
mvp 2004 was decent. it's baseball though, so is it really worth your 50 bucks? no. much better games to play that are more fun. or, you could take that 50 bucks and go get trashed tonight instead.
winning eleven 7 is a lot better than FIFA once you figure out the controls. you should give it a try.
