No one would allow us to string ppl up in the USA cuz it would be infringing on someones civil rights, or it would be offensive to someone. We needed to send a clear message that countries that harbor terrorists are targets, it's not about taking over the world because that is not what we're trying to do. Some of our foreign policy is a grey area, but without us doing the things we do, the world would be much more fucked, don't you agree? I'm still a little confused on our long term goal in Iraq but we did what needed to be done, and I pray that we can do it and leave asap. I hate to see our boys die, but they are protecting our long term freedom overall however you look at it. Don't forget Saddam could have let us inspect the country at will and this would have never happened. Also don't forget he already invaded his neigboring country in Kuwait, so the regime was not only brutal but a threat to every country bordering it. Saddam bluffed his hand, we called it, and even though there might not be any WMD that we have found yet, he played with fire and got burned. The UN doesn't do a god damn thing other than talk, they are useless and beauracratic. Countries that harbor terrorists now know that we mean business. I did however give serious thought to your analogy of if someone invaded our country if we would kill ppl too, but the thing is, we didn't invade anyone and we're not trying to steal anything.
