<img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Are you guys buying Strykers? They've worked pretty well in Iraq from what I've heard. Gotta help in those UN peacekeeping missions you guys are famous for.

we're supposed to be getting alot of new shit. election time up here so we have a chance to pick up some cool shit if the conservative government is elected. Like a few M1A1's, maybe some British Challenger II's, and an air craft carrier, not to mention a few new choppers, upgrades on our Hercules transports, and new avionics for our CFA-18 Superhornets. As well as 40,000 new troops. Cross your fingers... Soon we'll be as powerful as Poland!

I took a macro Economics class recently and i am not the most talkative person in class. But the one question i did ask is this. "Does the national deficit affect the economy" He gave me this long drawn out explanation, and later i told him to explain it to me in english. He said basically the deficit is like a credit card, it really doesnt affect the economy, every other country in this world owes money. It gets paid out over time whether its with money, food, aid or trade. It will get paid out but it directly does not influence the nations economy. That is a big myth and greatly used in politics as platform for democrats because they are big on the economy and republicans are big on the deficit. My professor came off very unpartisan and im really unsure what wing he is for (Left or Right). Just thought I would throw that out there because I really always was unsure of this. For a long time I thought the economy was affected by the National deficit.

The deficit if left unchecked can be an inflationary agent. It takes a long time for this to happen though and so far we are fine. As long as we keep growing, we can cut spending and pay off the deficit. If we stop growing for a long period of time, then we're fucked.

We can lay down a clean sheet of ice without anyone seeing it. Then our ninja delta force hockey players skate in quietly and lay down the beats! Canada has fuck all for military. It doesn't have the population base to support it. Though in WW2 they had 1.1 million in the military and the 3rd largest navy in the world. They make good peace keepers (put on a blue helmet, pay the local hookers for BJ's, get drunk), thats about it.
