I vaguely remember that shit too, my parents used to talk to a lot of people through local BBS networks on our 2400 baud modem. I think it was around 1987-1988 before we signed onto Prodigy, and experienced what the beginning fuss of what the internet was supposed to be like. Prodigy sucked too, all they ever showed was news, and weather info if I remember correctly, and this was in like 1990-1991 I was in 5th grade at the time. I don't even know, did they consider that "Prodigy" thing as internet or what? I just remembered how slow and shitty it was running on Windows 3.1.1

Best thing about the BBS was it was local , run by my friend, just like a forum really, and I was surprized to find some people found out about it and we had about 35 people with accounts. Pirates Cove it was I believe. Worst thing about it was I went to the chicks house thinking I was getten some at 16 , and my friend tagged along. Ended up making out with her, I got the shaft <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

as far as graphical games go anyway - mount kilshador - Sierra's INNimagination '90-91, and AOL's AD&D online '92-94 negro. not to mention the non-mmo's like WCII from 93 or 94 to 96.

Where you sail the ships and look for gold and what not? This game has to be around 14 years old... played it on my 2 meg hard drive Mac and it owned. You sail ships like columbus and then kill all the tribes and take their gold... any ideas?
