I dislike that reach in logic simply because it only leads to thinking that an opinion is invalid simply because its an opinion.
Never once in my post did I ever mention the validity of the opinions. There is no reach in logic on my part, because I am not arguing whether someone's opinion is right or wrong.
All I was saying is that just because someone has a different opinion than you, it does not make them (or you) an idiot. That is all.
