McCAIN: But, you know, I went back and looked at that article in, that was in 1973, when I first came home. There's no mention of John Kerry. I don't recall ever hearing John Kerry's name while I was in prison. Now, other of my POW friends did. I don't recall it.
Did you not read it? I saw the interwiew on Sunday and heard what he said. The recall portion was about him having heard Kerry's name directly. If any POW heard it over there it is good enough for me. Kerry sensationalized the Winter Soldier stuff to launch his political career. Made for good drama in the Senate and good poilitics in Mass.
