There is anything new on this? I am more than happy to keep the discussion on military records because so long as Kerry and his supporters are doing this stuff he will lose and lose big.

Not much new for me, but I already know about Bush's use of privlege to avoid serving in combat in Vietnam. In case others were unaware I though they might be interested.

Don't you find it a bit bemusing for Kerry to run around extolling his "volunteering" to go to Vietnam when it was only after his deferments got declined that he "joined". He is the one who has stated for 20 Years that however a candidate chose to deal with the Vietnam issue (drafted, deferment, National Guard, running to Canada or enlisting) was a personal decision and that he would never make it a campaign issue? Where is the character? Is that the type of shotgun moralism you would like to see as Commander and Chief? One of the reasons Americans don't trust him is because it seems like you can't hang aything permanent on his house because it will be changing again in a week. He says he won't then he does. Says he supports then he doesn't. Says he is for... and then says he isn't. On almost all topics you can see two sides in his record and that is why he won't be elected. He raised the Vietnam issue originally not Bush...

Besides character? What else is there? Integrity, Moral certainty, clarity of purpose, Like him or not Bush is better on this stuff than is Kerry. Kerry is to busy trying to win votes and should be spending more time on liking himself enough to stand for what he has said for 30 years. I can understand some change of heart on issues but the guy is "issue-illy bi-polar". I gotta send that statement to Bill O'reilly.

about his service to Vietnam. The swift boat ads didn't start until just after the Dem convention but he had been pushing that crap for months before that. He is defending his record because he brought it up. The National guard thing was floated by the dems long before either convention. It doesn;t have traction and is doing nothing but keep the military front and center in the campaign. If military is front and center Bush wins. As Kerry would say "Bring it on" it has been brought and he has been found wanting by the American People; at least for now.

The way I see it Kerry wasn't going to make the whole Vietnam thing a big campaign issue until his service was questioned. I'm sure both sides did stupid shit over 30 years ago, and it shouldn't have even been brought up in the first place. But since it was, he's gotta defend himself against people flat out lieing and costing him votes.
As for "flip flopping" and all on issues, So what? He changed his mind on some issues over time, people are allowed to do that.

And the would be Kerry strategy would be to become ultra tolerant to Muslim culture and sensitivity to the point of killing us by making us easy targets, god I love your plans of the new world Stretch they make me feel so secure.

His COnvention was about Vietnam. The swifties didn;t start running ads until well after Kerry started talking his Vietnam credentials for President. He opened that can of worms a year ago and 30+ years ago. The chickens have come home to roost.
