Yep...Liberals are as hard-headed as conservatives. If not amazingly more so. Liberals have a knack for shoving their beliefs down other people's throat, and any attempt at resisting their assimilation is immediately assualted by verbal insults such as "redneck" "fascist" and so on. Again, this is the majority of liberals and I understand that there are actually intelligent liberals out there who enjoy a frank and open discussion of ideas with a minimal of name calling. Sadly, they don't visit these boards because they have much better things to do, like saving the earth from space aliens.

It's a waste of time and money. If anything, the UN should be an aid agency which is the only thing it's good at.
How many wars have there been in the last 50 years? How many has the UNSC sanctioned? Two? Is that the "unique legitimacy" that Annan always likes to talk about?
What the fuck are they doing about the Sudan? 10,000's are being murdered and they refuse to do anything about it. Unique legitimacy? Is it part of the UN Charter to do nothing about genocide?
Yes, Annan's words may very well cause more deaths in Iraq. He is giving the enemy a propaganda victory by saying their cause is justified since he considers the invasion illegal.
Kick the UN out of NYC and I sincerely hope the USA withdraws altogether. We don't need to be part of that bullshit when Saddam's Iraq is on the disarmament committee and Libya heads the human rights committee.
