America is considered a liberal democracy. Just about everybody is in favor of adapting with the times. Don't even bother bringing up other, more liberal* countries. I said liberal democracy not socialist.
Our conservatives are not opposed to change, they are in favor of change when it's needed. They are in favor of preserving what works and only fixing what is broken.
On the other hand the liberals are trying to play social experiments and just tearing everything down. Irresponsible change. Like a child rebelling against his parents.
* The modern day liberals, as the word is regarded worldwide, are more of a socialist group. They don't have much in common with the liberals of the past who were more of the McCain type. In this country, this is especially true after Vietnam when the "liberals" suddenly took up the position that communism isn't so bad. They pretty much hijacked the word.
