Since you hate bad typing [ I am working at a cubical , typing this right now and also typing customer info and notes on troubelshooting at the same time , hence if SUPERVISOR AROUND words go nuts <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> ] .
That aside, you are intellgent, I see that from your posts. But please NEVER post something that is untrue. 1 Economica polcies enforced by the US IE capaitalism , as well as with Canada and otehr countries on weaker nations basically guarantees the weathly company owners money and not the people.
When the US as huge subsidies in markets like cotton and sugar cane and force other countries to undersell in markets, so that they lose farms and then get bought out by US firms is not " We buy the resources, not take them" , but taking them by not purchasing at fair market or under inflated prices.
The US like any power can do this, fine, its real life world worls that way. But do not complain with a hungry dog nips at its master.

I help people everyday in this country. I employ almost 80 people. I pay for their health insurance, I pay for their days off, I pay their christmas bonuses. I pay an average of 50k per year per fulltime employee. I give people the chance to own their own business. I preach daily to teenagers on how to be successful in this country. I volunteer time to the scouts, Civil Air patrol and my Dojo. I donate to alot of charities and spend time supporting my family. That is my parents, my kids, my nieces and nephews, cousins etc. Don't preach to me about social responsibility. Tell me what the average liberal professor does to "enrich" their fellow citizens. When I hear the words "social contract" it makes me puke because to have a contract all parties must agree to it's terms. I do not sign contracts that support aborting children but do not expect the parents to be "socially responsible". I do not sign contracts that teach people that being a victim is their last best hope. I don't sign contracts that are one sided. People who use words like "social contract" should maybe be a bit more honest and say "indentured servitude" or maybe "Slavery to idealism". I am all for a social safety net. However with that check comes responsibility and a forfeiture of rights. If you get a check from the government you should not be able to have more kids, be a felon, not name the father, have section 8 housing, fail or keep dignity by annonymity. You should be required to educate yourself, be required to share off childcare with other people like you so they can educate themselves too. Be on birth control and have a curfew without second chances. For fucks sakes people until we start holding people accountible to something and have a consequence for failure that is real and eminent there is 0 reason for these people to get moving. I do say that while they are in these group homes they should be given free healthcare. Hire a lefty doctor and staff to work on site to take care fo those people. This truly is the land of opportunity and not all people will be equal but my guess is for every hard luck true "victim" example you toss up I could find 10 abusers of the system. Never forget that self esteem is built by hard work and accomplishment not words.

well said, missed the subject by a few feet though.
The subject is people who are blind, handicapped or otherwise in a situation where they are unable, how hard they try to get that coverage.
Slobs and abusers we covered earlier, and the concensus is unanymous, they suck ass and don't deserve the handouts.

Lets attack Argentina, say they have submarines with nuclear weapons about to sail out and attack us in say.....45 minutes, plus we like their flower gardens.
That way when we don't find any nukes, we can say that it was in the speech that we were there for the flowers.

Rahl, your post is fine. If you read the other posts, its when people say FUCK em all that I say hey now wait.
As for a man employing that many, I look and see that doing what you do proves they work for you help you, you help them. I am not saying a bum comes off the street and says pay for my medicine.
But maybe as you said you pay for an old mens medicine one way or other, charity or otherwise right.

In case you didn't know it here in the USA it is illegal to turn away sick people from public hospitals. If it weren't the illegals in CA, AZ, NV, NM and Tx would all be dieing. Everyone wants to help those who can't help themselves. The problem is diserning those who can from those can't. I feel (opine) that whenever something is given for free and manged by people who don't have a personal stake they will always follow the path of least resistance. Unfortunately it is acceptable in this country to steal from , the government, the big bad corporation and them. Them being everyone who isn't directly involved with the person stealing. My problem with liberal thinking is simple, they believe it is ok to steal from the rich at the point of a gun. They want guys like me to fulfill contracts that they make on my behalf without me having a say. If it is wrong on the playground it is also wrong in the country. Just because some kid has a cup cake in their lunch does not entitle everyone to his cup cake. Now that doesn't mean I don't care about the blind handicapped etc. It means that I would like to choose how I serve not be forced to pay for checks that other people write. It doesn't matter if they are right wing or left wing. Believe me when I say this if not for the fact that I believe the war on terror is real and needs to be pursued vigorously I would be looking for a Republican challenger to Bush. He is too liberal for me with the purse strings. However I believe John Kerry would be a disaster for us on the terror front and that is where my kids future is tied up at the moment. Not healthcare, not swift boats, not national guard service, not "the two america's" and for sure not Social security. So given John Kerry's propensity to be indecisive I'd rather see Bush in the hot seat and pray that the Republican's in Congress pull their heads out of his ass and get back to fiscal conservatism. Most conservatives would agree with me on that I think. However there are lots of ways to skin the healthcare cat but it takes two sides willing to sit down and discuss the problems rather than the political credit or blame for fixing it. From where I am sitting I have watched the Democrats sell their souls for the party when they knew what they were doing was wrong. I see it far more from the left that the right primarily because they don't have any single uniting principle. They are a party of single issue platforms that don't really reconcile well and it shows in there lack of success. Kerry is the culmination of this stuff and it is why he in unable to really take a clear stand on anything. If he is for the war he turns out half of his base, Against and he gets the other half. Until the democrats stop focusing on "focus" groups and put together an ideology they are proud of they will continue to be beaten by weak candidates like Bush.

well said.
There is no chance anyway of any type of universal care. Thats simply a tagline that pops up every 4 years. There is too much business in sickness. It is like flat tax, great idea, never gonna happen. Too much money made in the tax massaging business. Plus how can ya have a flat tax when you make an exception for a certain group (AGI below X gets exempt = not flat tax).
I think you hit it on the head with the democrats. They will tell you anything you want to hear. The platform wavers daily depending on whom they are speaking to. I don't know if Kerry would be any good at terrorist deterence. I don't believe Bush has done very well at all. He started right with Afghanistan, but shifting the target, and alienating the very countries needed to win this wasn't a good call imho. If Kerry wins, better chance of global cooperation, but potential for wreckless abandon on social programs. Bush is a big social program funder, the programs just happen to be in Iraq. I'ld rather vote for my dog then either of them, and my dog is an idiot.

you speak as if the WMD's was the only reason given for the war.

The threat of WMDs was the only legitmate reason to go to war. Too bad we didn't find any.

Here's a link for you:

Here's a small snippet:
If the Iraqi regime wishes peace, it will immediately end all support for terrorism and act to suppress it, as all states are required to do by U.N. Security Council resolutions.

Show me proof that Saddam was supporting Al Quada and Osama. That's something CBS has yet to do.
Quote:
If the Iraqi regime wishes peace, it will cease persecution of its civilian population, including Shi'a, Sunnis, Kurds, Turkomans, and others, again as required by Security Council resolutions.

And the UN should handle that. The US isn't the police of the world.
Quote:
If the Iraqi regime wishes peace, it will release or account for all Gulf War personnel whose fate is still unknown. It will return the remains of any who are deceased, return stolen property, accept liability for losses resulting from the invasion of Kuwait, and fully cooperate with international efforts to resolve these issues, as required by Security Council resolutions.

This is actually a reason to go fucking war? You gotta be joking me.
Did we even find a single gulf war prisoner? Or the "remains of one"?
Quote:
If the Iraqi regime wishes peace, it will immediately end all illicit trade outside the oil-for-food program. It will accept U.N. administration of funds from that program, to ensure that the money is used fairly and promptly for the benefit of the Iraqi people.

This is in no way even a threat to the US. Who gives a shit what they do with the funds they recieve? As long as we get our oil, it shouldn't matter to us. This is just a plug for the oil-for food program (which is a good program, I'm not trying to put it down or anything). It has no place in a war ultimatum other than to try and make us look good.

How are you going to judge someone's intent if you refuse to read what he said before taking the action that he did?
Oh yea, you like to use your imagination. It's all a big conspiracy.
Don't be a dumbass. I linked you to the President's speech to the UN, not a few selected quotes taken out of context. Even you can understand that.

those 5-6 reasons were given "before" the war.
Understand now, or do I need to explain it to you like you were a 3rd grader?
