Doom is nothing more than an advert for the engine, which goes for a cool million per title license fee. As far as I'm concerned Doom is not a game at all, merely an interactive demo of the real product (engine).
Wouldn't even waste my time DL'ing it, let alone buying it. We all know what the game play is for the next 14 versions....the same as all of em in the past.
