Well, you misunderstood my question to you but that's ok.
If you study and do some research why the conservative side is bashing on the liberal side, you might begin to see why there are two seperate parties to begin with. Core values, perspective, etc.
The main reason why I see the conservatives bashing the liberals on this board is because they do not feel that we (US as a country) need the worlds permission to act (such as the war in Iraq). Whereas, the liberal side feels that it should be a consensus and approved more world wide (in general) before the US invade a country (building alliances, UN, Security Council, etc.).
This is an oversimplification of the two parties and their beliefs, but it is a core value and belief difference between the two and how the same situation should be approached.
If you feel so uncomfortable (dare I say insecure) about comments or critisisms of your beliefs, maybe you aren't as firmly convicted to them as you would like to appear or think you are?
