I never said I wouldn't blame Kerry or Bush... AGAIN, that's not the point. I believe that it is unrealistic to claim you can prevent all terrorism. That was their claim and people believed it. That's all Pearl was saying.
You're right, Iraq and Al Qaeda did communicate. And were soundly told to get the fuck out by the Iraqi government. Just because there are Al Qaeda members living in Iraq doesn't mean there is a connection. Using that logic, we should pretty much take out every country in the world. Was Iraq a minor threat? Sure, but I find it silly that every country in the surrounding area had weapon programs except Iraq. The disarming was working. Iraq was an illogical target, they wanted to go there even before 9/11. Bomb the Saudis for fucks sake, id actually buy that.
How has Bush proven he can fight terrorism? He had OsamaBL(the #1 terrorist in the world) in his fingertips, and let him go.. Because he(gwb) is affectively breeding new terrorists in the middle east? People around the world don't understand USAs motives. They fear we're like a machine, who can stride around the globe destroying things. Hell I saw on MSNBC or whatever bullshit media station I was watching that said the American public thinks that we are less safe because we invaded Iraq(or no more safe than before). The war on terror didn't elect GWB. It was the moral crusaders, the religious, the fanatical Jesus lovers who won it for him. People who put issues like gay marrage above the economy, science, choice and terrorism, fucking biggots. Am I disappointed because Bush won? Yeah I am. Is it much of a surprise that people are still talking about politics after the election? Ya normally after elections people just go back under their rock and the world starts spinning again and the sun comes out. Heavens forbid that I dissent after my guys lose.
