No I'm pretty sure besides the upper one percent that the republican party truly represents, most Republicans are misinformed bible thumping Rednecks.

I need to be relabeled...
My views are Pro-abortion, pro-republican (small business) Anti-corporation, Pro-stemcell, Pro-60s and 70s music, pro-killing old people, anti sex-with-two-chicks-at-once (ugly), Pro Sex-with-two-hot-chicks-at-once, anti-gay marriage, pro-Iraq, pro-killing people who walk slowly, pro-fun, pro-mother&father worship......
I must not be republican. Am I a confused conservative?

This is the song that never ends.....da da da da.....never ends...something-something...This is the song that never ends
What's annoying is when the left and the right label those in the middle (like me) to be moonshine swilling yahoos who don't know anything. Why can't I be a pro-choice, anti-gun laws, pro-killing old people, anti-wellfare, pro-big business, pro-pushing smaller countries around, anti-religion, pro-death penalty, pro-lowering of the drinking age and hash usage etc. etc Independant, and still be considered as a viable politcal platform? Both sides, mostly Democrats, but they just think they're perfect and fuck everyone else, need to reach out to my lazy ass to get me to vote. I'm a politcal science major and have a six-foot hardon for this shit, but I didn't have the urge to vote either way (Except for Green Party railroad commisioner). Moderates and Independants have to be one or the other or the big parties (Democratic, mostly. They have to tell us what is bad and what is good. They use waaaay more spin and propaganda than the GOP) won't reach out for votes. Honestly, who were the candidates talking to in those nice little rallies? Compromise.
I'm still waiting for my Velma and Daphne lesbo scene.

The Republicans have won 5 of the last 7 presidential elections.
Since the 1994 elections they have had constant control of both houses of Congress other than for a short time when Jim Jeffords switched parties.
Democrats have been the losers for a while now.

The 2 views are extremely dissimilar, and neither will change their views (nor should they).
The heavy swing to a evangelical judeo-christian beliefs by the conservatives is perfectly fine. They despise secular people who don't "conform" to their way of life. On the otherhand, secular people in the US still think "freedom of choice", "freedom of expression" etc... and they don't want to have their views determined for them.
An interesting article I found, as a summary stated that the "blue" states should simply fuck off and join Canada. Link to article.
This is the view from the new ruling viewpoint. My favorite line from it is "And the new Canadians would be free to have abortions, enter into gay marriages, do stem-cell research and engage in all other wickednesses that flourish in that bastion of corrupt and Godless liberalism.".
Women are now reporting numerous situations where they go to fill in a birth control prescription, and the pharmacist tears it up in front of them and begins to lecure them about "birth control is a form of abortion".
Hit from the US to the Canadian immigration website went up 600% in one day (November 3rd). I think the liberals hear ya.
Benefits for you new Canadians would include, the worlds largest reserves of untapped oil (guess who'll own the future when them spigots run out in the mideast?), excellent exports of Oil to the US. Also electricity (most of western North America is powered by hydro power from BC). You'll have one of the best passports in the world (2nd to Swiss) so you can travel extemely freely. You'll also live in the only country in the world which has been running budget surpluses for over 6 years in a row (yes, surpluses, not deficits). Your medical coverage will start the day you join. For your kids, the drinking age is 18 or 19 depending on province, plus the beer is much better. The largest reserves of clean fresh water in the world (we'll just pipe it down to LA, we got TONS of it).
Seriously, it's a pretty good idea I think.

Pharmicist article
On one hand does a company in a democracy reserve the right to refuse service to anyone?
On the other hand, why should a pharmicist have the right to a second opinion without diagnosis overstepping the initial diagnosis of the physician or family doctor.
Regardless in this situation your taking away the choice of the buyer or the pharmicist.
Funny thing, last night for about 3 hours ABC pulled "Saving Private Ryan" off the air because of the FCC. That wasnt true at all, the media pushed it as though the FCC had censored ABC. It was a complete lie. The FCC didnt even mention anything regarding it. And people cried Censorship,.... censorship...
