Guild Wars PvP is fun, but right now PvP content is severely lacking and I think that should be obvious from the people who played WPE/Beta Weekend. GW has been extremely anal for months about who gets in, making it hard for guilds to get their folks in, and as a result there's a huge mix of hyrid guilds that have been thrown together. LotD only has 16 accounts (12 active), and that is counting for attrition where members didn't like the game. You don't get guild accounts here, and they have tech that doesn't allow you to share a guild members account who doesn't like the game.
No one has a real large guild presence, and their guild system still needs a lot of work. We have over 50 members for GW, but guilds have a 50 person cap right now. Its pretty stupid to have to form two guilds, but I think they might remove that limit.
I constantly flirt with a ban over there for arguing for more PvP conetnt, more ladders, more team rank combos ( 4vs4, 6 vs 6, 12 vs 12, etc), etc. I will play GW, but I won't be happy until they expand the PvP stuff more.
Anyone who wants to try to get in as a guild over there should just go to one of the fansites and try to get in through the guild referral process. I've personally recommended Kaaos, The Mercs, and LoD, but they seem to have a hard on for using some carebear process.
Its a great game with lots of potential, but I still recommend having an MMO to play on the side.
