you still wouldn't believe it for much the same reasons why I would believe it.
You have had something against him from the start while I have not. I give him the benefit of the doubt as I think all Americans should.
What a family member says after someone is killed should not be taken for gospel either. Obviously her emotions are strong right now and she speaks from that, not from any practical sense. She just lost her son, it's understandable.
I thought you were smarter than this.

you are the one who brought up voting for the party not the man. I had to point that out to you.
You are the one who criticized me for respecting JFK and Truman as if that were not acceptable from someone who would vote for Bush.
It must anger you to know that it is so easy for me to expose your partisan nature.
Truman was President of the United States. He had more credibility than you can ever hope to achieve and you saw what he said. Apparently your interpretation of the Constitution is lacking. Not that it matters, you are a nobody.

You're independent thinking without outside influence is shining brightly.
I got nothing against the guy, I think he's done some things right, and some thing very wrong. I came up with those decisions on my own. Overall, I don't think he's done a good job in the last few years, prior to that, he did a good job.
And good point, you understand that mothers loss much better than she does. You probably understand all of their personal losses and feeling much better than they do.
note: The little "echo" retorts are quite underwhleming, get original.

but that doesn't mean we should abandon it in favor of emotional outbursts.
It's understandable for someone who lost her son to look for a bad guy to blame things on. And Rumsfeld is a good target. He is not a mushy guy who bites his top lip in pseudo-compassion like Clinton used to. Rumsfeld tells it like it is logically, which often comes off cruelly and coldly.
I'd still rather have a logical SecDef like Rumsfeld who I believe has done a phenomenal job so far. He has had to fight this War on Terror from a country in which nearly half of the population doesn't even want to acknowledge that there is a war. They want to hide their heads in the sand and pretend everything is fine like they did in the 1990's. Instead of fighting back, they want to ignore the enemy. Out of sight, out of mind. Until the enemy attacks again and they look for blame on why we were so vulnerable.

and re-read the whole exchange about Truman, the Republicans, and my voting for Bush you dumbass.
You can't run away from what you posted unless you go back and delete it to cover your tracks. I wouldn't put it past you either. Your ego seems to be fragile enough to do so.
Someone who voted for Bush can also respect Truman and JFK. I know it is difficult for a partisan hack like you to accept but it's the truth. Someday when you realize that everybody doesn't fit into your Michael Moore defined stereotypes, you may be able to hold a decent conversation with someone about politics.
Until then, I suggest you hit up the blogs and get some more ideas to copy.

I am so sick of all the political fuck nuts using these cutesy catch phrases so that the majority of the population(liberals included) who have the IQ of a chimpanzee can think they have a clue what is going on.
Honestly, what percentage of the general population knows A: that the USA Patriot Act is an acronym and B: what it stands for.
Honestly, I see this "War on Terror" getting us about as far as the "War on Drugs" did. Not saying that trying to prevent terrorism is a bad thing or that it will fail, but by diverting funding to this "war" it hurts our nation even more. These are wars we can't win. It is not physically possible. That is why I don't think it should be a "War."
We may try to combat terrorism, prevent terrorism(proactively aswell) but i can't stand to hear about this bullshit war. Which gets me started on the whole Homeland security shit. How much close can we get to being like Germany in WWII. Should we just call it the motherland?
Enough ranting for now.

if idiots like you were in charge, we'd just be bending over and taking it up the ass from the terrorists like we did up to and including 9/11.
Have you idiots learned nothing?

you retard. Since he already has a full-time job (and then some) he needs someone at cabinet level to oversee the military. Maintaining civilian control is essential like Truman said. That's why Truman = good, you dumbshit.
Yes, civilian control of the military has always been essential, ever since George Washington stopped being a general and started being a President.
In the short 200+ years since then, we've become the most powerful nation on Earth, militarily and economically. Obviously the way we've been doing things works. You want to cede military control to the military? You are asking for a coup.
Think for once.

Jobu,
Didn't your mommy teach you right from wrong. Only a mindless drone would take your position. You and anyone else who defends not signing those papers should be ashamed. You have no credibility.
