Loutus , that Kaw 636 is a killer bike I love the way it hit's corners, I just hated the colors. Asians don't ride hogs because hogs, because they are gay and anyone who rides them are faggot wanna be tough guys that are to fat and wear to much leather. I would learn on a 2000 Honda CBR600F4, you can pick up one of these around 4k get some frame silders and your set. Next time you buy a bike you can get a real bike like a R1........... brand new around 11-13k depending on mods..........

whoa there, turbo. i got a 550cc kawasaki for my first bike. i don't see why people can't just go straight for the intermediate bike rather than put around on a crossbreed. it's not like you're obligated to haul ass when you first get the bike.

First off, if you've never really owned a motorcycle, its not about the cc's. Obviously don't go and get a 1000 and think you're going to be able to handle it when you twist the throttle. Riding a street bike is about street smarts. You gotta know how to not freak out on a motorcycle if something fucked up happens. You gotta be just as wary about what everyone else is doing as you are about you're doing. There isn't alot of room to fuck up on a motorcycle and alot of motorcycle deaths aren't even in due to being the rider's fault. Get a bike that suits your style (asian ='s crotch rocket). If you just want to cruise around, get something comfortable and that looks good. You're not going to get much for under 5k unless you find a good used bike.

Thats why I was looking at the smaller engines. You may say its not about the CC's, but I think its a major factor because that would affect how much you can control the bike ( with beginner skill levels) and since its lighter, it would be a little more forgiving if you do fuck up.
