I think it goes agaist everything that America is about -- working hard to own your own piece of land, your own house, your own little spot on this earth.
Unless it is a health hazard, physically dangerous, or in some way harmful to the community there is no reason to force someone who owns it to give it over to a private corporation.
Robert Moses abused emminent domain in NYC during the 50's, 60's and 70's and destroyed neighborhoods, families, lives all for the supposed benefit of society. If you have every been on the cross Bronx express way you know that is a special place in hell that benefits no one.
