As they say... follow the money. As far as I am concerned, there are no really great pvp games out there right now. It's really a shame that Ubi dropped the ball so horribly on SB in terms of product quality at time of delivery. If that game had been a higher-quality product it could have proven to the industry that serving the public a game primarily designed to be pvp+ is an economically viable option. Instead, it flopped (as compared to carebear games such as EQ) and now what we are stuck with are psuedo PvP games (WoW) and small scale PvP games (Guild Wars) neither of which even come close to satisfying the desire to pwn people...
In a nutshell, the most optimistic thing I can say about PvP at this time is that we are all fucked...
