It doesn't matter if a country is our ally or not, we will always be there to take it in the ass and be the front runner for support, money, and help, even to the states that wish to obliterate us. Also let me add being PC is also our downfall. Within each great civilization is it's own downfall.

I don't disagree with giving aid man, I was just making a comment in passing, and I don't disagree with anything you said. This isn't about anything other than what I commented on, don't try and turn this into a pissing contest about how the Bush administration is horribly over spending government money, because I think they are too. I never once said it was a bad idea to help Pakistan, in fact all I said was "Compassion is our Downfall" and everyone just made assumptions from there, so stop assuming that I meant anything other than what I said. I didn't say I wasn't outraged by the spending on the war, in fact I'm not happy with it at all, but I don't live and breathe politics, so it's really not on my mind like it is yours. Just because I'm middle/right, doesn't mean I'm a pawn for the administration. Right now I am extremely displeased with Bush and what he's done in the past 2 years. I don't have trouble realizing we're the richest, most powerful country in the world, I bet I can't chew gum and walk at the same time too? Please.

Pakistan let us fly planes into Afghanistan (a landlocked country) looking for some guy named "Bin Laden" who is repsonsible for 9/11.
I would like to see Pakistan deal with the hardline Islamic schools (terrorist factories) and regulate them and shut down the radical ones. One of them is named "The School Of Jihad", they don't teach math or economics....
I see $51 mil goes a long way towards negating the falsehoods being spread around through the muslim world about the US. 8 choppers were diverted from Afghanistan to assist in rescue. Again I see a lot of positive coming from that.
Every kid saved on a US chopper makes a muslim family who will view and promote the US in a positive manner.
We need to win their hearts, there are over 1 billion of them. We simply don't have enough bullets, money or supply lines to beat them into submission militarily. And using Iraq as a measuring stick, we are unable to pummel them successfully in a manner which promote our ideals.
I hope that they don't divert the funds to anti-american activities. However Musharef seems very pro-western and a moderate.
