Yeah, im familiar with the MSF, and I actually took the basic course so I could waive my DMV test portion.
I was actually looking into taking the advanced course, but I really doubt that any skill could have helped me in my situation. I didnt even SEE the pinecone on the ground until after I high-sided and landed on my feet. i actually had to walk over and peer at the ground very closely to see it. I usually never ride my bike at night because of decreased visibility - but fuck man, the one time that i do... ugh.
i hate pinecones now.
