You're stereotyping roughly half of the United States population over which event? Alan Keyes comments on Ted Rall? I'm only guessing here.
Alan Keyes is the man who said, ". . . when serious and sustained attempts to undermine public opinion on a matter genuinely essential to national life cannot be resisted by other means, governmental action may be necessary. For governmental action is also the action of a free people."
He's basically saying it's okay for the president to jail people because of their influence on other's opinion. Which is absolutely absurd; he is not a constitutionalist, whatever he may claim.
Back to hypocrisy, one politician's comments (or a thousand emails for that matter) don't represent this country's take on one of its founding principles. I agree that it would be hypocritical for Keyes to be yelling about this current issue.
But, your comment and cartoon completely ignore the issue that I raised: numerous American media organizations refuse to offend Muslims, but have no problem with offending Jews or Christians (in the name of free speech). They give up their right to free speech because they fear Muslim backlash.
Hence, hypocrites & cowards.
