i say, get a 93 mustang, plop in a 351w, t-5 tranny, up yr compression 10:1, add in a overlap cam. Get a nice set of ported/polished heads w/ dual valve springs, with some 4.33 or 4.56 rear-end gearing you will smoke anyone of those cars on your list.
Daily driver? yeah im crazy.

Or stroke that 351 to a 393 or 408... add 10:1 compression, add nitrous which loves higher compression... easy 500 rwtq.
bascially the question is, 7 miles per gallon, or 5?

and that means?
Only thing modified is the engine, car otherwise looks as close to stock as possible. I prefer stock, car doesnt look riced or anything. As for eclipse engines, about the easiest and cheapest engine to pull power out of. I am going the harder route ( 400+ awhp ) so it has cost me a pretty penny. If I had gone the easy route, I could have pulled 300 awhp out of the car for about $1500-$2000.
At least its not a civic or integra which everyone does and is still weak as dog shit.

He just ordered a z06, that is a damn nice car for the money. That goes along with his 92 vr4 that he has done a lot of work on. Granted I have no idea what he did, but it was fun to drive.

The guy was asking about high end luxury cars... not race cars. :<
Now on that note, I'm normally a chevy/caddy man, but the awd talon (TSI) and awd eclipse (GSX) are both decent cars, for rice burners of course... ;P That is if you like that coffee can sound ^^
tbh you should all stop bickering and go with that real ganksta shit, B-Bodies 4tw <3

Ummm, Mitsu's and Talons are far from rice burners, they are domestic cars. Made in Normal Illinois. Very few even made their way to Japan. Whats great is my car can run in FWD and RWD races as well as Import and domestic only.
