Politicians controlling oil prices is a conspiracy. It is also a theory. Government cover-up of 9/11 is a conspiracy. It is also a theory. Make of those what you will.
I don't understand how you go from "forcing a company to make a certain product = communism (the central planning side of communism)" to "suing a company into compliance = communism."
You imagine half of content you think I write.
My use of the label communism wasn?t an attempt to invoke images of Russians or Vietnamese murdering their own citizens who criticize them. However, it was used to invoke an image of what happens when centralized planning (instead of choice) controls the market. I?m not implying that if you let the government use incentives so we utilize alternatives our market is going to collapse. I am reminding people of what happens when governments do control markets though.
With that being said, I like tax-break incentives for using alternatives. I support it. I do not support our government forcing the auto manufacturing industry to make a certain product though.
