The Three pitchers are one of the same,
He was in one of the sleds when some thing spooked the horses, when they started to run out of control, all he could do is hold on, as the sound of the accordion echoed in his head, he felt the icy cold wind on his cheeks, his house that he was so fond of and felt the security that he cherished so much started to become smaller and smaller as he sped away down the hill,
As he paints the pitcher he is trying to remember how that night went so he paints the sled and horses 3 times because they (the scariest part) are flashes of memory that do not allow him to sleep at night so he paints and paints over and over trying to put it onto the canvas so he will not have to remember it ever again!
Oh the pain of the memory how tragic it was.
his fear is ...leaving home.
