This whole post made me keep thinking back to the anime/manga "Ghost in the shell: Stand alone complex" if anyone has seen / read that. In this anime, its the near future where basically humans are more machine than man, with more cybernetic implants and prosthetics than you can imagine. They basically can "speak" to each other, as though they are on cellphones, but without a cellphone, without their hands, without moving their lips. It's almost like telepathy. And they are all faster, stronger, more agile and swift in all their actions. It's a stretch, but i think the future will be a little like that, but less exaggerated.
