Been playing this game all damn day only reason why I'm not playing it now is cus my wife's hooked on it too.
Pros:
-Gameplay isn't too fast paced and isn't extremely slow
-Graphics are awesome! Walls are incredibly detailed along with trees and the rest of the terrain
-Sound: great on regular stereo and simply amazing with surround sound.
- The destructability (isn't really a word) of this game changes everything. There's no more chokepoints on the maps because if there's a wall blocking you, you just break through it.
- Weapons are all pretty damn balanced. I've unlocked almost all of the guns and gadgets you can unlock and they all work very well. And the guns that you can only obtain through XBL marketplace seem in balance as well (compared the stats with the other guns).
-Ranking system is pretty much in line with CoD4 and also have awards (similar to challenges in CoD4) that you can get awarded multiple times in the same game.
Cons
- Vehicles seem sluggish besides the tanks. The humvee and buggy seem as though they're set on the same speed as the tanks. Completely throws you off when you're in a buggy and a tank is keeping speed with you.
- Controls scheme is weird. Left stick is to sprint. Y is to knife. to switch weapons by RB and switch gadgets/nades with LB. takes a while to get used to it, especially from playing CoD4 awhole lot.
- Squads are automatic. You can't choose your own squad you're just thrown in one.
- NO PARACHUTE! this is the only BF game I know of that doesn't have parachutes
- Delicate players. What I mean by this is, if you're standing on a 8 ft fence and you drop down to the ground. You lose about 15 health.
- Only certain classes have grenades or pistols. I'm pretty sure that the sniper (Recon) class is the only class to have a pistol, but they don't have grenades.
- Knifing is almost impossible at times. It's almost as if you have a cooldown on your knife after you swing it. I had an altercation with another player where we tried to knife each other for about a minute straight that ended up with us just dying to artillery.
I'm pretty sure that a lot of the negative things I have to say about the game is been ironed out before launch (vehicles, controls having more than one scheme, knifing, and the delicate players at least) And it's a pretty decent and solid build for a beta, hasn't been many bugs I've see/heard of and haven't even heard any that isn't just an aesthetic bug.
