PS3 is weak. Working in the industry will teach you that quickly. There are all sorts of PS3 reports coming in not to mention that the PS3 version was a port. There is a simple rule you can follow: Any game that is ported from X360 to PS3 will always run better on X360. Also, it would piss me off to get through the whole game and then not be able to play the DLC coming out. Stop being a fanboy of any system, be a fanboy of good games. Play them where they work best.

Metal Gear Solid > xbox? That's comparing a game to a system.
MGS4 looks cool and so does Uncharted. Are those two games worth buying a PS3? Maybe. Although I wouldn't use my PS3 to play any game that was not exclusive to it.
Why do people want to support Sony (a Japanese company) who releases everything to the US later than anywhere else. They have no understanding of multiplayer games, that's why their online sucks (including Nintendo). Also, the two games named are both single player games. I am more a multiplayer gamer, which is my preference.
As for FF13...I wouldn't expect it until late 2009 or 2010 from what I've heard.

I own a 360 and a PS3, any game that comes out on both I get on the 360, the only reason I have the PS3 is for the dvd player and for the few games that are PS3 exclusive.
