I've heard their has been a lot of debating about AoC being the next WoW, and that instance PVP is garbage. To put all rumors to rest the entire game is instanced and all the quests you need to compete are in the same instance as other people, so PVP is forced in every aspect of the game.
I can't tell you if this game is the flavor of the week nor can I tell you how the endgame experience is but what I can tell you is that PKing in this game has provided a satisfaction that I have only known in the UO days... Nothing is more humiliating then performing a fatality on a guy that is 5 levels higher then you and listening to him bitch for 2 hours. The grieving is great!
This game does need overhauling in many aspects of the game but which MMO have you known on release that didn't? But I'll let the screen shots do the rest of the talking for me...

Is there looting?

Logging into a "client" that connects over the internet to a "server" is to similar to wow for me. I'll skip this one.

No, but if you think about it the fun thing about looting is that you take someone else's time farming away. You can do that here by sending people on 5 minute walks back to the zone you killed them in.

We are on the main pvp server though, so i wouldn't be surprised if they added some sort of looting aspect to it. They will have pvp rewards for sure though.

Sounds a little wowish to me, but atleast it is FFA....
I just don't want to play a game that doesn't have some sort of looting and death penalty.

I don't know what game AOC relates to. It seems like they took parts of every major mmo and incorporated them into the game. It holds my attention, which is more than i can say for the other games out right now.

They are putting in PVP levels that when you make kills you gain levels however when you die you lose your level.
