So, I came across the LoD website while going through my regular bored at work gaming news sites. Wondering, hoping that it was the same LoD I loved to hate back on Baja.
Then I found the awesome post of LoD's history from Balinor, and all of the memories came back.
I always remember seeing LoD around in the really early days of UO, but didn't get very heavily involved against you guys until the days of Order/Chaos and official guild wars. Anyone remember the Malagents? <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Fighting against you guys taught me the basics of small unit tactics, focus firing, the importance of heals, exploiting weaknesses, etc... and I just want to say thanks. I actually tried to say thanks when I left UO by donating all of my gold to you (I always wondered if Gospadin got it to you guys, we weren't in the practice of showing each other quarter.. if an orange name popped up on screen, it died <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Had to use a go between)
Anyhow, with all of that out of the way, any members from that era still around? Keep in contact with the old non-LoD faces? Angel, Gospadin, Garthog, etc...?
I actually keep in contact with Mark and will be sending him to your website, he's not as much in to gaming anymore so who knows if he'll be interested. Personally I'm glad to see you guys are still going strong, though <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hell, I've gotten old and out of touch with competitive play. I'm downloading the UO client now to check out UO Divinity, but I've practically given up on MMO's these days.

I did the same thing. Looked up LoD's website and then I downloaded UO Divinity feeling nostalgic.
I only fought them for a little bit in AfE on (Aftermath dexer and Gryphon mage) with the Masterfuls, Creager, etc. I realize Factions wasn't exactly the golden era of PVP but thats what I seem to remember fondly. But the time I'm talking about was when LoD was Minax, M&D was Shadowlords, AfE/NvR was Council of Mages, and the True Brits had some good people as well. It was fun fighting but having to camp at the HQ was annoying.
I remember all these characters on Baja... Torak, Boy, Bombur, Burnout, Dalun, Setzer, Jobu, The Bobs 8D, H20 aka Hard to Overcome... Guys like Korn who had that house in the graveyard. Heck I remember the first time I ever got PKd by guys in pOd like Pumpkins of Death wore orange and black.
I also remember playing Counter Strike on LoD's server with the likes of Chichi, Chinese Madman, Badseed, Suicidal, Gos, Venger, Solistice, and Silent.
