is fucking amazing. this is the best stuff ive heard from them since i first started listening to them 14 years ago when i was in 8th grade.
all 10 tracks are killer. the drumming is insane. the solos are badass. the riffs are orginal and all around this is something that i couldnt have asked more for. i had to defend them for who knows how long and then they reward everyone who owns this album.....its raw as hell its angry and its bay area metal.
so if you havent downloaded, bought, or burned this yet....do it. this will be the album of the year. i could go into it more but honestly, i want everyone to just listen too it. this is my favorite track here. It's also the last track on the album. Think Battery....but of course, anyone who compares this stuff to the 80's albums is a complete retard. Those were 20 years ago..sounds changed, people have changed voices changed.
If this is whats to come, then i am pumped.

I was lucky enough to see them with Newstead and drunk, and with this new jackoff and sober. Yet another childhood memory destroyed. Limp Bizkit even rocked out harder than they did at that show. They're coming back to town in a couple of months, maybe I'll give 'em another go.
Anyway, the new album does kick more ass than most stuff out there. Album of the year isn't an unrealistic thing to say, but ain't saying much these days.

I wont be listening nor buying any new metallica music. They are straight out bitches. The fact they hardly release anything to rockband to make money, ya it costs them nothing, only gives them money, and yet for rockband 2, they said no to letting useres import the rockband 1 music to rockband 2 for a price (AFTER youve already bought there music for more then mp3 price).
So ive lost all repect for them after the whole movement on anti mp3s and the fact they are gold diggers. Musics great ya, but I have morals and I dont support gold digging bands.

Yeeeeah, ok. The fact that Lars wasn't surprised that the album was pirated and was feeling good that it was pirated "ten days before release and it just now 'fell off the truck', that's pretty good" (not exact but pretty close quote)...I don't think they give a shit anymore. If anything, that's their label not allowing that to happen. Or maybe it's them, I don't give a damn because Rock Band is basically Dance Dance Revolution for fat kids.
Honestly, judging by how they've been behaving, they're over the whole piracy and mp3 thing. They're old, man. The napster debate is over and done with and we've entered a new era. Let past idiocy lie and enjoy the new music.
Or keep being a bastard. Metallica is more badass than you ever was or will ever be.

there really is no bands out there that are the 80's metal style anymore. slayer has still put out good albums, but nothing like reign in blood. people keep asking metallica to put out albums like they use too....20+ years ago. thats just a stupid fucking request. if we have learned anything its that things do not live up to what they were in their prime (OBVIOUSLY). this album is the new metallica. its fast, heavy, raw, and fucking badass. there is no such thing as 'thrash speed metal' anymore. this is the closest thing that you'll get and its really really good. rick ruban is amazing
