I didnt no that? Theres so much cool shit about this place. For example, you can buy your own island that is man made, they have indoor ski'ing, and they are incorporating all kinds of technologies that haven't been used yet etc etc. The show I saw was badass.

Tallest building is there (and still under construction so it will be taller still)
You should look at it with google earth. Check out one of the homes already built on the islands. crazy big with huge yacht6s at a private dock.

Yeah I saw this place a while back. What show did you see and on what channel? I'd like to catch it. If you go to the Dubai main site they have trailers of artist concepts of houses and property you can buy. Wow, just wow! Luxury at it's finest. Although I'd be severely concerned about my security, and that would kind of take away from the fun.
