"Ricers are all show and no go."
isn't your mitsubishi an asian car?

No, it isnt.

In order to circumvent this, the two partners officially incorporated Diamond-Star Motors in October 1985, and in April 1986 ground was broken on a 1,900,000 sq ft (177,000 m?) production facility in Normal, Illinois. The plant was completed in March 1988, with an annual capacity of 240,000 vehicles.[3]

Initially, three models were produced at this facility. The Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser and Eagle Talon were smaller 2+2 sports cars on a new co-designed platform. Models subsequently produced during the next decade included the Mitsubishi Mirage/Eagle Summit, the Mitsubishi Galant, the Dodge Avenger/Chrysler Sebring, and the Dodge Stratus.

Vehicles built at Mitubishi Motors North America have been exported to 26 countries including Canada, Mexico, Guam, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Argentina, Sweden, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Italy, Brazil, Puerto Rico, JAPAN, Russia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jeddah, Damman, Quatar, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Chile and Taiwan.

The Eclipse was never made in Japan, it is an American car. Designed by Chrysler and powered by a Mitsubishi engine and drive train.

Going to be attempting my very first 10 second run at the track today. Car has never felt more powerful. I went out and did a couple tune runs last night since it was in the 50's, pretty close to where it will be tonight at the track.

Pull #1 at 28psi showed 509hp 429tq
Pull #2 at 31psi showed 551hp 479tq
Pull #3 at 33psi showed 576hp 499tq

I have a little area of a rich spike which affects all the power later on in the power band but I think I figured out the problem which means, my numbers are a little low for what it should be. That will be taken care of as well as an extra 2psi of boost added to the car and some timing added as well, I should see over the 600hp mark tonight and hopefully a 10 second run, quite possibly I could go from the 12's to the 9's if everything works well and nothing breaks. It is after all, my very first engine I built myself and the weak point right now is my transmission, the 1st gear is only good up to 400hp so I am on borrowed time, luckily in a couple weeks my spare transmission gets sent off for a $4,000 build.

I plan on PK'ing some muscle cars at the track and hopefully, if he shows, I will get a chance to PK this.

Due to the presence of the automatic gear box, front mid-engined arrangement and its driving characteristics lead some commentators to classify the SLR McLaren as a GT whose rivals can be considered to be e.g. the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and Ferrari 599 GTB

5.4 L supercharged V8

approx. US$495,000

Car and Driver achieved top gear acceleration 30-50 mph and 50-70 mph times of 1.7 and 2.4 seconds

I managed a 50-70mph time of 1.62 last night and a 70-90 of 1.55

Are your HP #'s at the wheels or the crank? My 06 Charger is putting down 480 to the wheels on 5lb of boost.

DSMLInk shows both.DSMLink is showing an estimated 575ish HP but my airflow is showing about 50 hp less. I believe ( without booting up the other two systems and looking ) my airflow was 52lbs a minute which would equate to approx 520hp. which would only be about 10% Drive train loss. The turbo is good for 60lbs of airflow

OH yeah and while I am at it, I am starting a new project car. I have all kinds of spare parts lying around and with the economy the way it is, no one is buying my spare shit so I am going to put it to use. I can basically build a full spare engine, minute a head. I have one of those being donated to the build. Also got a rear end donated as well. Looking for a cab and rolling frame so I can start work but I want to find the right ones.

Anyways I am going to be building a 4g63t 400hp turbocharged 4 cylinder rat rod.

Its going to look something like these two styles.

One shell I found in Indiana I love, I would keep it the rusted body just because I love the look.

I found a couple places to check out today that may have a frame and shell for me. If that is the case, I will be picking them up today and putting the GSX on hold for a little bit.

Yeah, you have a 5.7L V8 and higher compression.

I have a 2.0L 4 Banger running 8.5:1

So lets see here, since we are comparing apples and oranges.

Charger 5.7: 84.21hp per liter or 60hp per Cylinder.
Charger 6.1: 78.68hp per liter or 60hp per Cylinder.
Eclipse: 260hp per liter or 130hp per Cylinder

And to top it off, My car cost me less than yours Not much though.

You are 3820lbs I am somewhere in the 3000lbs.

You are RWD.

I am AWD.

If I can get it done in time. The bottom picture, the DEANO is possibly sold so chances are I wont get it. I am trying to sell my 95 GST to fund this project.

I am looking at some more shells tomorrow if the weather holds up as back ups. I have not decided if I am going to go open roadster ( Highly doubtful ), use a truck cab or make a chop top ( doubtful ).

Where in Misery are you? I am next to Truman Lake.
