You know, I am all for sticking to your principles. The big 3 have been making crappy cars for years and it caught up with them. They deserve to go bankrupt.
However, compare the 14 billion in question to the HUNDREDS of billions that went into the financial institutions who not only produced bad products but did that on a much larger scale. Why didn't we take a stand then? Making a big deal out of the 14 billion when we are sinking hundreds of billions into who knows what in the financial system and continuing to do so is distracting us from the real problems and their origin.
