I tried shit + tab while playing TF2... had to change my pants, but it didn't do anything for me in game...

for RA3, you may want to change the hotkey for steam community.
shift+tab cycles through unit types selected in RA3, good for micro in fights so I have it macroed to my mouse.
The pillbox is to defend against a rush and protect the refinery. You have to pay attention to LOS with pillboxes though, because they wont shoot through a building. I usually put the first one next to the ore, to be able to shoot between the buildings.
I only use pillboxes if I'm vehicle rushing, since if you have a barracks at start with soviet, it's better to make one with an engy and put the units you want in it like flak or tesla.
Turtle will only work if your opponent sucks and doesn't go after resources.

This is really an attack strat from LeX. I just modified it for a fast rush win using the engy. The grief factor of taking their base over and building shit causes a fast esc>quit reaction.
Build order -
Crane>Power>Barracks>Ore>Ore>SuperPower>Airfield
Defense - 2 pillboxes with good LoS to protect ore.
Infantry - -3 bears - send one to protect each ore house and one behind the enemy base using planning mode and just out of thier radar range. use him to scout just before the rush. -2 engies - 1 for the close ore house and one to take the enemy construction yard in the rush. -9 flak troopers - I usually build more than this because they are useful if the rush is fail. These are great infantry.
Vehicles - 2 Twinblades - for fast transport and taking out anti ground defense before dropping troops. 4 Migs - For fast air defense if the rush is fail.
Strat -
Hotkeys - Engie - 1 Flak - 2 twinblade - 3
Load the 10 infantry in the choppers after setting the hotkeys with CRTL+#.
Fly around the outside of the map off their radar and position them behind the enemy base just off the radar.
Use the bear behind their base to scout and decide where to land by the construction yard and what defense you may need to deal with.
Land there, steal the construction yard with the engy, put the flak guys in mine mode and hit whatever is closest and set waypoints on the rest of the buildings. Build a barracks and go to town in their's if they haven't quit yet, which they usually do about 3 seconds after you take the const yard.
If it doesn't work, for instance if they had a shit ton of anti air and your choppers went down before you could deploy, you need a mid-game strat, but now you know what they have.

ya its good, but I play anti rush then hit hard after their inital just gotta know what team they are playing and you know their rush, USA is Inf rush Jap is Mega Tengo rush Russia rush is yours, or them little spider bots hard to stop your chopter rush with jap team

I got a couple suggestions:
- I wouldn't use bears to guard your refineries. I would send them to both oil refineries and try to kill their engineers first.
- I would also add a tesla trooper if you want to try to cap their conyard. If the player is any good, he will back up his MCV and you won't be able to cap. If you have a tesla trooper, you can paralyze his mcv when he backs up.
- The next step after this strat is to get a 3rd refinery by moving your MCV near another ore node.

Thats what I meant is guard the ore houses from his engys.
I like the tesla mod though, I've been lucky and gotten them before they noticed I was there.
On the 1v1 map with the third ore behind the base, if you spawn on the right side you can built out with crane and power and be able to set down a refinery at it by the 5th build. Doesn't work on the left because of the footprint, I havent tried moving the MCV a few feet though because I'm usually on the right on that map.
