my mousepad is so big it fits under my keyboard and I have enough room for my mouse... but i use really low sensitivity in FPS

most of the gamer pads you can buy are pretty large

you can get the dimensions of your mousepad and go to a vinyl company (sign makers etc.) and have them get you basically a black sticker with white dots about 1/3" apart from each other; with that dpi it will work..probably only cost you 3 bucks.

this probably negates everything good about your mousepad which would work with optical no problem..my other post here advises if you have a laser mouse to get a pad specifically designed for laser or you most likely will run into issues. with laser i used desk for a while, but the grains in the desk caused jumps and skipping.

I might have to try that Dhal. I'll hit up FastSigns, and get one made for my surface.

The QcK Heavy is super thick so it wont lose track and its 17" x 15". I've also called a local glass company and its about $30 to get a piece cut of frosted tempered glass so you might as well get an iCEMAT if you want glass.

if you haven't noticed sabbath really likes the icemat. i'm sure everyone is happy with their investments and wouldn't even consider investing any more money into a different mousepad, but are completely happy with what they got (considering it works at all). i mean, afterall, it's a mousepad. i think that much will leave shit to herse because who is really going to spend 200 dollars trying out different mats?

True. I honestly don't think I've ever used an optimal surface for my razer mice though. Never really cared as long as I've gotten a smooth response, little friction and had enough space to move. Razer, everglide, icemats and steelseries ones all look sweet. I'll drop by a store and take a closer look, just wanted some second hand impressions.

Currently shredding a glossy women's fashion magazine, because the big glass table my desktop comp is on has a clear surface and doesn't offer any type of reference for the laser to work off of.

Thanks again for the tips here, I'll defo pick one of these up. I might be opting for something that isn't rock hard. I don't like clacking sounds and I probably like a microscopic flex from the mat itself.

Actually, I was just saying that cost wise, if you want a glass pad, you might as well buy one made to be a mousepad. I think they come with feet for your mouse too.

I'm going to take your advice, and get a laser pad instead of the giant heavy. This one seems to have everything I want.

i used to use that exact same one...when i would tank for 42 or BF2....low sensitivity for the win
