ahh I love everything about the core.. except the stoploss - but thats another issue
My little brother is on his 3rd tour in the litter box with the Marines and he says he loves his job - I just think he really likes being away from the wife and kids he left in VA
Also, I have a Cousin thats Army Airborne Ranger thats been playing in the litter box for a few years now too.. & when the two of em get together and start drinking it usually leads to the fists..
FACT: the Marine always wins - despite how the Rangers like to think they are better - CORE > all

Yeah, or that could be me. I realize all this and I know there's nothing I can do to be ready in the truest sense of the word but I'll just have to deal with that like everybody else.

Fuck if i know but that's his deal. He enlisted as a basic grunt in the middle of college and went airborne, then SF after his first deployment and by now I've lost track of how many times he's been out there.

I'm not worried about the physical part, I've been working towards this idea since high school. I'll handle it. The experience part does bother me but well... either go for it right away or get deployed then try... so fuck it I'll just give it a go from the start.

Haha typical marine. Everybody talks so much trash about each other I really can't regard any of it as legit. My army friends tell me about what braindead and ineffective meatheads marines are, my navy corpsman friends call them bullet sponges and talk about how navy seals are better than everybody else, and my marine friends usually just go in a murderous rage if you tell them any of this and put down every other branch. It's all opinion as far as I'm concerned.
But yeah thanks, I try to get the thoughts of everybody I meet who's military.

somalia perfect example, everyones seen black hawk down... thats what happened to the army after the marines left because the marines had it on lockdown and the army couldnt handle it after we handed it over to them... go look up your history... the army is used to occupie and the marines go in first to clear it out... just like one of the guys from my company who got killed he got killed just outside our Area of ops on the armys side of things by a roadside ied because the army units area that we were in didnt patrol there shit properly... and yes Navy seals are badasses, basically all im saying is there are shitbags in every branch of service but if you want to go pound for pound the marine corp infantryman is way more highly trained then the army's infantry even with our shitty budget we get from the navy. hence why the marine infantrymen is compared to a quote "spec ops" branch of the army aka airborne rangers.. but either way you look at it spec ops branches are good to go as a whole. just dont expect to have a life of your own because it eats up alot of your time.. if you wanted to be a complete badass this is the route i would take
go Navy enlisted
become a corpsmen go green for as much as you can with the marines do a few deployments
then after ur first enlistment opt to reinlist into MARSOC
MARINE FORCE RECON
the badest mofo's around. they are right next to SEALS and GREEN BERETS
anyways just one more thought ima shut my mouth on this post now.
