GFX look waaaay too shiny for being anywhere near optimized for big scale PvP. It's like Age of Conan quality graphics with Oblivion type enviroment. GG getting 40 frames on that in group PvP on an average rig.

Aventurine (Darkfall), despite being small in relative size compared to other companies are a company with vet PKs among their devs, that have made a game based on a decade of seeing what pvp mmos were missing. If anything, Darkfall will just become better and better month by month. It's just now starting to become clear to me what an epic lifespan the game will have. People are just now, months into the game, starting to break out the smallest boats as well as warhulks. Few guilds, if any have fully built out cities and no one is even close to maxing out a character.

PvP technique and strategy is changing week by week as players are pushing the limits.

As much as I think Mortal Online might be an OK game it won't be a real competitor to DFO. Not if you are in it for the conquest PvP, manual aiming, full loot, long lifespan and politics that matter.

Another observation, they relesed an FX'ed up non-gameplay, theatrical trailer before any game footage / technical footage. Speaks volumes about the developer IMO.

If I was to look at any upcoming games it would be Fallen Earth, but I'm not. DFO is the game and will be for years to come.

From the ingame videos I've watched, it's much more aesthetically pleasing than Darkfall.

So is Vanguard.

I was comparing UOs two bastard children Darkfall and Mortal Online..not some hokey WoW rip off LOL

You cannot compare Mortal Online to Darkfall because it is not out yet or even beta for that matter.

This is true, but it doesn't sound that far off from beta according to some dev posts on their forum.

Honestly I hope both games have great success. How badass would it be for an indy developer to make the next top MMORPG? DF has an enormous amount of potential but they have a lot of shit on their plate to edit and fix if they plan on keeping what small playerbase they have already, nevermind thinking of expanding it.

The Devs need to optimize DF to use multiple processing cores. The game only uses 1 core, and it relies HEAVILY on that core. Sieges will run 10 times better once they optimize it.
