That cartoon aside. A trillion dollars is still a ridiculous amount of money to invest in a shitty government healthcare option.
The real problem is profit based health insurance companies. We could solve a ton of issues by waxing these fuckers completely or limiting what they are allowed to cover. If you don't see the immorality of a company choosing who gets care based on Net Operating Profit then debating the whole issue is a waste of time. Some people like the wild west way things are done. Everyman for himself. I think its archaic.

The war is only "unncessary" to morons that don't understand the overall picture. Do you think Saddam would be sitting around with his thumb up his ass while his mortal enemy Iran was building nukes jackass?
Also, 3 trillion over almost a decade compared to 7+ trillion over that same time period.
