You're really reaching when you have to give an advantage of a couch for gaming purposes....

Really though, plexx hit it on the head.. its about competitive play..

I'm going to use your logic and assume that since more copies were sold on console than PC, that console is the superior platform.

Indeed it would be.. but again my point is the same as Plexx's not for competitive play.

If you want to bust out some numbers showing that more people played CoD4 competitively on a single console versus PC then you can use my argument all day long and I would have to agree

it's relevant because I don't want to suffer with a gamepad in an FPS... I couldn't careless if other people are suffering with me.

Competitive console gaming is growing sure, but that's also just a reflection of the entire gaming market. I think PC gaming is dying. Consoles are more accessible to the average folk... but as it stands, PCs are the place to be for the competitive player.

The cheating thing has always been a non-issue for me. People complain far too much about it, and I think in 9 out of 10 cases it's just a better player raping a shitty one. I've been called a hacker hundreds of times throughout my gaming history and I've never hacked in any game. Even people in LoD thought I hacked in CS:Source when it first came out. It's inexperience, excuses and a lack of talent.... with a dash of whine. It's blatantly obvious when a person hacks, and it isn't as rampant as people would make you believe. It's especially hard to hack in leagues and get away with it, with all the anti-cheat measures. It's only a matter of time before console gaming is "flooded with hacks," anyway.

competitive CoD4 was dominated hands down by the PC... all of the major CoD4 lan tourneys were held on the PC... and all of the best teams played on the pc

I don't have numbers but I haven't heard any numbers that point to PC being more competitive. I'd be interested to see them if you do have them In the end, if you want to play league, which I do. I'm sure you could you find competitive leagues on all platforms.

You're trying to use my argument.. so find the numbers and use it in the context of the conversation. I could care less since I know which ones more competitive, not really sure why you would even want to argue that point.

I wouldn't call using a gamepad "suffering". It's just a skill you learn, just like keyboard/mouse was for you at one point in time. It's an FPS so they are both steps down from the real thing which is a holding a gun.

As far as cheating is concerned, it is a major issue. If you don't believe me I will show you where to download a CoD6 wallhack/aimbot a week after its release. Punkbuster or whatever is always one step behind in keeping up with cheaters. I do admit that most people accused aren't cheating but many are, especially in competitive play. One of the other downsides to PC gaming is that it's based on PC performance which means turning all graphics down as low as possible to get the highest FPS. I've got a fast PC but I know that even the pros turn down their settings to get the best FPS. The fact that everyone is using the exact same hardware and cannot adjust their video settings is appealing to me. I used to share the same feeling about PC but I've converted and I think that slowly everyone will. Developers aren't seeing big returns for developing on the PC and eventually everything will move to console so you might as well know how to use a gamepad now.

I don't have time to become a pro gamer anymore and don't think that most you do. That's a full-time job, but I would still like to play competitively and I can find good competition on 360 and find my friends in the same place.

This is so not true developers aren't seeing returns for the PC cause their stuck in this infinite loop of sequels and no good new IP's all it takes is one WoW to come on to the scene and totally out sell anything on the consoles by a bazillion times, PC is and always will be a strong platform its companys like EA who release shit ball games and 1000 sequels that do the PC harm.

God shut up haha... of course hacks exist and some people hack, but that isn't what we're talking about. My point is that they aren't as rampant as scrubs like you would like to think, ESPECIALLY in competitive play(do you even know what competitive play is? I have no idea where you're basing any of your arguments). People are just better than you.

Keyboard and mouse will always > gamepad... stfu on that argument, anyone who knows shit about shit will agree. Whether or not it's actually "suffering," is a stupid debate lol... I feel it's pretty damn close to suffering, considering i've played both and have been spoiled by keyboard and mouse.
