You get used to the game pads, after about 30 days it was second nature using the game pad in GOW.
I personally prefer a mouse and keyboard.
Since most of the people I know will be getting it on PC I will be getting the PC version, probably.
With Madden coming out next month and a darkfall addiction I hope I have time for a FPS.

Developers aren't seeing big returns for developing on the PC
This is so not true developers aren't seeing returns for the PC cause their stuck in this infinite loop of sequels and no good new IP's all it takes is one WoW to come on to the scene and totally out sell anything on the consoles by a bazillion times, PC is and always will be a strong platform its companys like EA who release shit ball games and 1000 sequels that do the PC harm.
It's not about IP or releasing shitty games. It's about pirated software and the expense of developing for a platform that uses man different hardware configurations. You have no idea how much of a pain in the ass it is to make a game that will run with every video card and driver.

God shut up haha... of course hacks exist and some people hack, but that isn't what we're talking about. My point is that they aren't as rampant as scrubs like you would like to think, ESPECIALLY in competitive play(do you even know what competitive play is? I have no idea where you're basing any of your arguments). People are just better than you.

Keyboard and mouse will always > gamepad... stfu on that argument, anyone who knows shit about shit will agree. Whether or not it's actually "suffering," is a stupid debate lol... I feel it's pretty damn close to suffering, considering i've played both and have been spoiled by keyboard and mouse.
Look at the number of downloads...
http://www.mpcdownloads.com/forums/downloads/99-Call-of-Duty-4-cheats-hacks/
...and that's only one website! I'm not whining that everyone hacks but it is more more common on the PC. I'm not claiming that there are cheaters in LAN tournaments or at the pro level, but then I didn't assume that you were pro.

I'm debating buying it for both platforms. All of my buddies play it on the console, but I wouldn't mind some organized competitive gaming on the PC
Game looks awesome though

and here's my question to you guys...
Are you guys going to be playing competitive only? Are you guys going to major CoD lan tourneys when this comes out? Will you guys be one of the best teams playing? From what I gathered with how much i saw LoD involved with CoD4 you guys aren't gonna be competitive at all. The farthest it's gonna go is a couple scrims join a ladder maybe and thats it.
The only thing I read when people keep saying "PC is more competitive" is "All the uber kids are doing it!"... I could understand if LoD was a big clan in the FPS genre but it isn't. And to say that PC is by far more competitive you'd be willing to say that console would be no competition for you. And I'd find that extremely hard to believe for this group.
In other words... You guys don't play leagues on the regular, you guys don't play "professionally" and you guys (as a forum) probably would barely be able to keep a solid team together to play competitive. So don't try to use "OMFG PC FAR MORE COMPETITIVE THAN CONSOLE SO CONSOLE TEH SUX" arguments. Just admit the truth... youre a PC fanboy when it comes to FPS... there's nothing wrong with that.
I prefer keyboard/mouse over gamepad any day.. But I'm getting it for console anyways. Shits a lot easier overall to play, getting friends together to play. I don't have to worry about any processes running in the background, or just the overall situation of my PC's performance. And of course I don't have to worry about my friends having good rigs to play games, cus most of my friends aren't big on computer gaming and have pretty old PCs.
I'm constipated.... I couldn't give a shit.

You don't have to be competeting in a tournament or pro level for competition to exist...
Any serious FPS player would buy the game for the PC before buying it for a console...
Just like you pointed out with more of your personal friends having shit computers.. how many 8-13 year old kids do you think have computers up to par? Is that the competition you enjoy playing against?

That is total bullshit...there is serious competition on console and I would also consider myself a serious FPS player.
This seems to be another example of you spouting off information that you have little or no experience with. Do you even have an xbox or are you reading all of this information from the boards like you do with DF? The only opinions that are valid are those who have played both and the only opinion about competitive play is from those who have played league on both platforms.
Do you not consider Halo 3 to be a competitive FPS game? Halo 3 players are some of the highest paid professional gamers in the world. Do some research and use facts instead of just stating biased opinions with nothing to back them up.

LOL first were we talking about Halo? See I don't care if the top 5 Halo 3 pro gamers are some of the highest paid.. it doesn't mean that the competition on the console is better it just means the market for THAT game has deeper pockets. Those gamers are paid by sponsorships and prize money not based on level of competition. Lex you're not a serious FPS player.. if you were you wouldn't be so concerned about your couch, or your xbox life friends list or everyone being dumbed down to console controls/hardware. Face it Plexx was right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1VV1p4NIVY = LEX
